Our ESSEX choirs did an amazing job at Cadogan Hall last Tuesday, KENT choirs had a fantastic show in Broadstairs on FRIDAY and MIDLANDS choirs had two uplifting shows in RUGBY & LIVERPOOL! WOW WOW WOW!
We are grateful to 60 Essex BIG Singers who travelled to Cadogan Hall, London last Tuesday to perform at Childline’s Merry Little Christmas Show. WOW what an experience! The venue was amazing, and the choir sounded SO GOOD, the crowd loved us and the organisers sent us such lovely feedback:
Dear all at The BIG Sing, On behalf of the NSPCC events team, I wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks to you and your choir for your outstanding performances at our Merry Little Christmas show last night. The choir’s opening song set the perfect tone for the evening, and the closing set of songs, culminating in the fantastic rendition of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” truly brought the house down. It was an incredible end to the show, and we are so grateful for your efforts in coordinating a choir of over 60 members to be there and perform.
We deeply appreciate the time and dedication you and your choir members gave to support our event and fundraising efforts. I am thrilled to share that we raised an impressive £52,000 for Childline, thanks in no small part to your contribution. Thank you once again for your support and for making our event a memorable success. We look forward to the possibility of working with you again in the future.
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!Enjoy the festive season.
We are SO proud of our choir impressing the organisers on the day with our performance and so happy they made so much money for their charity.
Friday night was our fantastic show in BROADSTAIRS – massive thanks to our KENT BIG Singers for their time and commitment. Queen’s Road Baptist Church had around 160 packed out audience and they really loved our show. We could feel their emotion as they listened and sang along to our songs. The joy was evident as people were dancing and clapping along, but we also saw the tears as they listen to ‘Noel’ and ‘If Love Could Just Be Love’. We’ve had so much amazing feedback, and the audience were so generous with their support for our charity raising nearly £200 on the night! WOW!
Saturday night: Rugby Temple Speech Rooms – WOW what a show! With 100 local school children joining us, we always knew this one would be unique! Firstly the venue looked amazing – massive thanks to Rugby Elim Church for hosting us at this lovely venue. We had a BIG Sing choir of 80 who sounded AMAZING! When the children’s voices joined us for 6 of our songs – it was emotional! The children also sang two songs by themselves ‘Sunday Best’ and ‘Just Let Love Shine’ wow they sounded great. We are proud of our kids tutors: Jenny and Evie who have been going to the schools for the last six weeks with Gemma to teach the kids all the songs. Their hard work really paid off. We had a whopping 470 people in the audience and so much great feedback! The choirs did us SO PROUD and sounded SO GREAT! and we raised nearly £600 for our charity! WOW!
Sunday we went to LIVERPOOL! Wow what a great day – on the best day of the year (our Director Gemma’s Birthday!!), and what a fab show! Our choir members had to get up really early to meet the coach, and after a busy night at Temple Speech Rooms the evening before that was a task. Once we got to Liverpool we were greeted by the most friendly people we have met on this whole tour. They looked after us so well and they even made us dinner before we left! The audience were so responsive – Gemma hardly had to encourage them to join in. We LOVED watching them sing along and dance with us. And the appreciation and love was so evident all the way through the show. What a fantastic day together and a great end of a busy weekend.
Just a few shows left on our tour – are YOU coming? See info here: https://www.big-sing.com/events/
