WOW. Just… WOW.
Union Chapel is one of those venues that feels almost untouchable – a truly iconic London space where our Directors: Howard and Gemma have previously performed alongside established artists like the London Community Gospel Choir, Amy Winehouse and Mica Paris. But this time was different. This time, we brought our choir – The BIG Sing. It was our show. And even now we’re still saying, did we really just do that?!
On Saturday 13th December, a 600-strong audience filled the venue and from the very first moment, they were completely with us. We barely had to invite them to join in – they were already singing, dancing, waving their hands and soaking up every second. The atmosphere was electric and the show was honestly off the charts.
It was extra special to be joined by three incredible guest vocalists, and the crowd’s obvious favourite was the legendary Eban Brown, former lead singer of The Stylistics. He had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand as those iconic songs filled the room – and we LOVED joining in with him too.
There were so many breathtaking moments, but one that will stay with us forever was the overwhelming sound of 150 BIG Singers singing Noel and Mary Did You Know together – the walls of Union Chapel literally shook. We blew the roof off.
“I Celebrate You” turned into a full-on party, with the audience dancing along, and the energy during “You’re Gonna Be Okay” was something truly special.
We are beyond proud, totally overwhelmed, and so grateful for this experience. What a night. And here’s the even more exciting news… the promoter wants to book us again for next Christmas 👀✨
Anyone up for it?
