WOW What a Weekend!

Four BIG performances this weekend

Massive thank you to our Witham BIG Singers for their performance with Eban Brown on Friday night at Witham Public Hall. Led by Evie, the choir brought so much energy and passion and sounded fantastic! We’ve had such fabulous feedback from the audience – what a GREAT night!

Saturday and Sunday was our BIG Gospel Weekender which saw members of both Essex and Midlands Gospel Choir unite for a jammed packed weekend. Starting with a fab performance at the Warwickshire Gospel Festival on Saturday afternoon, we certainly made an impact! It was great to get the audience singing and dancing along.  The Pastor has already asked us back next year! So watch this space!

Then straight off to Warwick Arts Centre where we were joined with members from our Midlands Community Choirs for an uplifting gig with the one and only Eban Brown – former lead singer from the Stylistics. Wow we enjoyed the BEST night!  Our choirs sounded SO GOOD! The songs were powerful!  Eban put on an amazing show and of course we were up dancing along. We are SO PROUD of all of our choirs!

It didn’t stop there! Sunday morning we were invited to sing at Rugby Elim Church with our united Gospel Choir. It was such a lovely service and the church really showed their support to The BIG Sing. They gave us a standing ovation for ‘You Say’ and were up on their feet singing along on ‘Every Praise’. What a GREAT morning!

After Church we headed to a local restaurant for lunch together, before our fantastic Gospel Workshop where we learnt our Musical Director – Howard’s uplifting arrangement of ‘Wanna Be Happy’ by Kirk Franklin – what a GREAT song.  The workshop choir learnt the whole thing in just a couple of hours – wow!
